4. Estimates, Diagnoses, and Scope of Work

Estimates, quotes, and service recommendations are based on the information available at the time of inspection or discussion. Plumbing conditions can be concealed behind walls, beneath floors, underground, inside sewer lines, or within existing equipment. As a result, additional repairs, materials, labor, permits, code upgrades, or testing may be necessary after work begins.

Unless specifically stated in writing, estimates are not guarantees of a final price. If our technician identifies conditions that materially change the original scope of work, we will seek authorization before proceeding with additional chargeable work whenever reasonably possible.

A diagnostic visit — such as a sewer camera inspection or slab leak detection — may identify the apparent cause of a plumbing issue but may not reveal all underlying, concealed, intermittent, or future problems. Recommendations are based on the condition observed at the time of service.

5. Customer Responsibilities

To help us perform services safely and effectively, you agree to:

• Provide safe and reasonable access to the property, plumbing systems, utility areas, crawl spaces, basements, mechanical rooms, and fixtures involved in the service
• Disclose known hazards, prior repairs, existing damage, utility issues, plumbing modifications, pets, access restrictions, and relevant property conditions
• Obtain any required authorization from the property owner, landlord, homeowners' association, tenant, or other responsible party before approving work
• Keep children, pets, and unauthorized persons away from work areas
• Protect or remove fragile, valuable, or personal items near the work area when reasonably possible
• Ensure utilities, water shutoffs, and electrical access are available when necessary for diagnosis or repair
• Pay all approved charges in accordance with the agreed service terms

We may delay, suspend, or decline service if conditions are unsafe, access is unavailable, authorization cannot be confirmed, or work cannot be performed in accordance with applicable requirements.

7. Pricing and Payment

Pricing may include service-call fees, diagnostic charges, labor, materials, equipment use, permits, disposal fees, travel charges, emergency or after-hours charges, taxes, and other approved costs.

Payment is due upon completion of services unless another written payment arrangement has been approved by Smith Auro Plumbing. We may require deposits, progress payments, or payment authorization before beginning certain repairs, replacements, installations, remodeling work, or special-order projects.

If payment is not received when due, we may pursue lawful collection remedies. You may be responsible for reasonable costs associated with collecting an overdue balance, where permitted by law.

8. Promotions and Special Offers

Smith Auro Plumbing may advertise discounts, coupons, or special offers, including drain clearing, water heater maintenance, plumbing-service discounts, camera inspections, or water-heater replacement offers.

Unless expressly stated otherwise:

• Offers are subject to availability and may change or end without notice
• One offer may be used per service visit or transaction
• Offers cannot be combined with other discounts, financing, prior estimates, or previously completed work
• Offers have no cash value and are not transferable

9. Warranties

Any warranty offered by Smith Auro Plumbing will be described in the applicable estimate, invoice, service agreement, manufacturer documentation, or other written record. Warranty coverage may be limited by the nature of the work, the condition of existing plumbing systems, the use of customer-supplied materials, manufacturer requirements, misuse, neglect, freezing, water quality, code issues, third-party alterations, or circumstances beyond our control.

Manufacturer warranties are provided by the applicable manufacturer and remain subject to that manufacturer's terms, processes, exclusions, and approval requirements. Smith Auro Plumbing does not control manufacturer warranty decisions.

No verbal statement creates a warranty unless it is confirmed in writing by an authorized representative of Smith Auro Plumbing.

10. Existing Conditions and Property Damage

Plumbing work may require access to pipes, fixtures, drains, walls, floors, ceilings, cabinets, landscaping, concrete, crawl spaces, or other building components. Where necessary, repair work — such as pipe repiping or water line replacement — may require cutting, opening, removing, or disturbing building materials to access plumbing systems. Unless specifically included in writing, cosmetic restoration — including drywall, paint, tile, cabinetry, flooring, concrete, landscaping, and similar finishes — is not included in plumbing service pricing.

11. Third-Party and Customer-Supplied Products

We may install or work around products, fixtures, appliances, equipment, or materials supplied by a customer or another party. Smith Auro Plumbing is not responsible for the quality, compatibility, performance, availability, warranty, or condition of customer-supplied or third-party products.

Additional labor, delays, return visits, modifications, or replacement parts may be necessary if supplied products are defective, incomplete, incompatible, unavailable, or do not meet applicable requirements.
